PETER PAN COPPER WEATHERVANE
First sculpt in clay. A plaster cast will be taken and soft sheet copper hammered into the cast to copy the clay sculpture.
Peter's face and shoulders emerge, embossed in copper, after repeated, controlled hammering into the plaster cast.
A skeleton of copper tubing gives structure and strength to the slender sculpture.
Ingots of lead are cast to to counterbalance the weathervane to ensure that it turns freely in the wind.
The completed weathervane.
Peter stands on a rugby ball.
